Turpan is one of the cradles of Uyghur people. Turpan city is located to the southeast of Urumqi, the capital city of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and also has an area of 70049 square kilometers (6,076.5 square miles). Turpan has a population of 600,000, Among these the Uygurs account for over 70% of the total number.Turpan is an important city along the ancient Silk Road and the transportation here is very convenient, which enables people from different regions to keep contact easily. It is considered to be the hub between Xinjiang and the eastern part of China.

We start the tour from Urumqi since Urumqi is the most convenient place for transportation, after breakfast we leave to Turpan about 9:00am(Beijing time), on the way we can have the chance to see the biggest wind power station in China Dabancheng wind power station witch located the air flew channel between South Xinjiang and North Xinjiang where average speed wind available in whole year, Salt lake witch is also called dead sea of China, each liter water contains 300g salt, after arrive in Turpan we visit Sultan Minaret firstly and then go to the lunch, after noon we continue our tour to Jiaohe(yarghol) ruined city witch is the best preserved ruined city in China was made 2300years ago, Karez underground irrigation system witch is the life root of Turpan, have been serving since 2000years before.Go back to Urumqi and end the tour.
