This tour will immerse you in Xinjiang’s unique heritage, stunning landscapes, and vibrant traditions.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Urumqi
Arrive at Urumqi International Airport, where your guide will welcome you and transfer you to your 4-star hotel.
Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant featuring Uyghur cuisine, such as lamb kebabs, polo (pilaf), and naan bread.
Free time to rest or explore the city center.

Day 2
Urumqi - Heavenly Lake (Tianchi)
After breakfast, drive 110km to Heavenly Lake (Tianchi), a stunning alpine lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks and dense pine forests.
Take a shuttle bus to the lake (700m walk or optional electric shuttle for 10 RMB).
Enjoy a boat ride on the lake and take in the breathtaking views of Boghda Peak (5,445m).
Have lunch at a local restaurant near the lake.
Return to Urumqi and visit the Grand Bazaar, a vibrant market offering traditional crafts, spices, and souvenirs.

Day 3
Urumqi - Turpan (185km)
Visit the Xinjiang Regional Museum to explore its rich collection of cultural relics, including the famous 3,800-year-old Loulan Beauty mummy.
Drive to Turpan, a city known for its historical significance and unique landscapes.
Visit Tuyuk Ancient Village, a well-preserved settlement with traditional Uyghur architecture.
Stop at the Flaming Mountains, known for their striking red sandstone formations.
Explore the Astana Ancient Tombs, an underground museum showcasing artifacts from the 3rd to 8th centuries.
End the day at the Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with ancient Buddhist murals.

Day 4
Turpan - Urumqi - Fly to Kashgar
Visit the Jiaohe Ruins, an ancient city carved into the earth over 2,300 years ago.
Explore the Karez Underground Irrigation System, a marvel of ancient engineering.
Stop by the Emin Minaret, a 44-meter-high Islamic pagoda built in 1777.
After lunch, drive back to Urumqi and fly to Kashgar.
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy dinner.

Day 5
Kashgar - Karakul Lake (200km)
Drive along the Karakoram Highway, one of the world’s most scenic roads.
Visit Opal Village, a historic summer resort of the Karahani Kingdom.
Stop at Oytagh Village to see the Red Mountain Valleys and White Sand Mountain.
Arrive at Karakul Lake, a pristine alpine lake at 3,600m elevation, surrounded by the Pamir Mountains.
Enjoy a picnic lunch by the lake.
Return to Kashgar in the evening.

Kashgar City Tour
Visit the Apak Hoja Tomb, a stunning example of Islamic architecture.
Explore the Kashgar Livestock Market, a lively and authentic Silk Road trading experience.

Stroll through Kashgar Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to admire its traditional Uyghur houses and vibrant streets.
Visit the Id Kah Mosque, the largest mosque in China, built in 1442.

Departure from Kashgar
