Itinerary
Day 1
Mongolia to China via Takeshiken pass
In the early morning, You Overland to Xinjiang China via Takeshiken pass, our guide will welcome you in front of the immigration office, after finish the border defense office formalities you will start the vehicle custom clearance, we only can apply the custom clearance after your entry, so it will take about two days.Day 2
Finish the custom clearance
Your guide and our partner from custom clearance company will continue the custom work.Day 3
Takeshiken to Altai 360km,5hours
We self-drive/ride to Altay city in the morning, after noon we go to the traffic office to apply the Chinse temporary driving license and number plate.Day 4
Altai to Burqin, 110km,2hours
Finish the license process in the morning and overland to Burqin county, Burqin located north of the desert and the beginning of the grasslands and mountains to the north. It is populated mainly by Kazakhs.Day 5
Burqin to Kanas lake,205km,5hours
Today we will take overland tour to the beautiful Altay mountain roads, and visit the most beautiful place in Xinjiang Kanas lake Nature Reserve, is a long finger lake found in the southernmost reaches of the Siberian taiga ecosystem, located between China, Mongolia, Russia and Kazakhstan. Overnight in Kanas lake.Day 6
Kanas lake to Karamay, 520km,8hours
Today will be long day, but not boring, it is high way after Burqin, we will enjoy the road, and on the way visit Colorful beach in Burqin and Ghost city in Karamay, both was made long time of water and wind erosion.Day 7
Karamay to Urumqi,314km,4hours
In the morning, we self-drive/ride to Urumqi, after arrival have a tour in Urumqi grand bazaar.Day 8
Urumqi to Turpan,190km,3hours
We overland to Turpan from Urumqi early in the morning, on the way we will see the biggest wind power station in China Dabancheng wind power station witch located in the air flew channel between South Xinjiang and North Xinjiang Salt lake witch is also called dead sea of China, we start the Turpan tour from Tuyuk ancient village witch is 70km east of Turpan, on the way we see the Flaming mountain ang Tuyuk valley, we will have the lunch in the village and go to the Bezeklik thousand buddha caves witch was the witness of flourished Buddhism in Xinjiang in the past.Day 9
Turpan to Korla 380km,5hours
We will have a half day tour in Turpan, in the morning we visit Sultan Minaret, Jiaohe(yarghol) ruined city which is the best preserved ruined city in China was made 2300years ago, Karez underground irrigation system, it is have been using in Turpan area since 2000 years ago. Drive overland to Korla after lunch.Day 10
Korla to Kucha,300km, 3.5hours
Today we self-drive/ride to Ancient silk road city Kucha, on the way we will visit Subashi ruined city, afternoon have short tour in Kucha grand mosque and Kucha bazaar.Day 11
Kucha to Bayinbulak grassland, 260km, 6hours
After breakfast, we start the overland tour to Tianshan mountains and cross it from south to north, on the way we visit Kezil thousand buddha caves, Tianshan Grand Canyon, then drive to Bayinbulak grassland for overnight.Day 12
Bayibulak to Narat, 93km, 2hours
In the morning, we will have grassland tour in Bayinbulak witch means “the place rich in spring”, it is very beautiful and full of wild flowers, the second largest grassland in China, the Swan lake in the grassland makes it more attracting. Afternoon we drive to the Narat.Day 13
Narat to Khorgas city 250km,5hours
We visit the Narat grassland in the morning, it is one of the world's four major grasslands－ sub alpine meadow area, and has been a famous pasture since ancient times. We can also see the Kazakh culture, afternoon we self-drive/ride to the Khorgos city.Day 14
Khorgos China to Kazakhstan via Khorgos pass
In the morning, our guide will take you to the Khorgos immigration office, after finish custom and border formalities you say good bye to our guide and exit to Kazakhstan, your Overland Self-Driving/Motorcycle Tour In Xinjiang China ends here.

This is very flexible tour, you can also travel opposite direction along the same destinations, you can enter China from Kazakhstan and exit from China to Mongolia.
