Our tour starts from the capital city of Urumqi and ends in Kashgar, total distance is about 2000 km. During the trip, we pass through dry mountains, many oasis towns, sand dunes, rives and high mountains covered with ice and snow. Taklamakan desert surrounded with mountains by all around. These high mountains supplies water to the oasis between mountains and desert. Each oasis has its special features from different special fruits, special food, different landscape even different dialects of Uighur language. During the trip, we mostly going to see pretty dry landscape and ethnic Uighur areas. We are not only seeing some natural and historical sights, but also explore local peoples daily life, culture and handcrafts among people, which are unique in china. For example, in Turpan, we can stop by grape fields and air-drying house.( a special construction that dry the fresh grapes to raisin). In kaskgar, you see local people making knives and musical instruments at their shops....
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Urumqi by flight
Our guide will welcome you at the Urumqi airport and take you to the Hotel.
Overnight in Urumqi.

Day 2
Urumqi-Heavenly (120 km)
Heavenly lake(Tianchi in Chinese), Urumqi Grand Bazar.
Today we travel to Heavenly lake(Tianchi in Chinese) in Urumqi, Heavenly lake is a high mountain lake on Tianshan mountains. Fantastic nature of crystal clear water, blue sky, mountain trees and snow mountains. After the mountain, come back to the city and visit the Urumqi Grand Bazar.

Day 3
Urumqi -Turpan (200 km)
ancient city of Jiaohe, kariz, Imin minaret.
During the Turpan tour, we visit the ancient city of Jiaohe (UNESCO), underground water system kariz, The Highest tower in Xinjiang called Imin minaret, have lunch and dinner at good Uighur restaurant.

Day 4
Turpan Tour
Turpan Museum, Bezeklik Budda caves, Flaming mountains and Tuyuk village.
Today we take a tour to Turpan Museum where we understand the long history of Turpan, see precious cultural relics were excavated from Turpan area, then travel to the east about 70km to Visit the famous Bezeklik Budda caves, Flaming mountains and Tuyuk old village.

Day 5
Turpan-Korla (400 km)
On the way to Korla tour, we pass through semi desert areas, very dry mountain and some oasis towns. After lunch , visit the Golden beach scenic spot of Bosten lake, a lake between the mountain and big desert.

Day 6
Korla-Kucha. (270 km)
Kucha Grand mosque and local market.
Kucha is a famous city along the ancient silk road also a big oasis at the south of Tianshan. After lunch, Take a tour to Kucha Grand mosque and local market. (Kucha Nun bread is biggest in China).

Day 7
Kucha Tour
After breakfast, we drive to Kizil Budda caves. Is one of the four major caves of China and earliest Buddhist center, Have a lunch at Bay county. In the afternoon, Take a tour to Tianshan grand canyon witch is one of the ten most beautiful canyon in China.

Day 8
Kuqa - Hotan. (570 km)
It is going to be a long drive to cross the Taklamakan desert from north to south. It is the second biggest shifting sand desert in the world, biggest one in China, While Travelling along the desert high way you will see the Populus diversifolia(desert poplar) forest, this tree considered the hero of the desert by local people, which can remain three thousand years in the world. There is no proper lunch at noon. So we will have picnic on the sand.

Day 9
Hotan Tour
Hotan is located north of Himalayas, very south of Taklamakan desert, a very Uighur populated area. During the Hotan tour, we will visit the Jade market the best jade in China, carpet factory, silk factory, traditional paper making..

Day 10
Hotan- Kashagar (500 km)
On the way, we will go through some oasis around kashgar, Mostly produce agricultural products like cotton and wheat, fruits like walnut, apricot. After arrive in Kashgar you will have free time to relax.

Day 11
Kashgar Tour
Today we are going to have Kashgar tour, firstly visit Apak hoja tomb, it is the largest mausoleum in western China, afternoon we visit Id Kah mosque which is the largest mosque in size and influence in China. Then stroll in the handcrafts street, on both sides of the street is full of all kinds of folk arts and crafts workshop. After this, continue to visit the old town of Kashgar. many buildings were constructed for over 400 years. Overnight in Kashgar.

Day 12
Kashgar to Tashkorgan, 300 Km, 6hours
After breakfast travel to Tashkorgan County along Karakorum highway, on the way can see the Uyghur farmers in rural scenery. Overlooking to the southern giant Mountains and the beautiful scenery, Enjoy an altitude of 7546 meters of the Muztagh ata snow mountain and Karakul lake, Overnight in Tashkorgan.

Day 13
Tashkorgan to Kashgar (300KM 6hours)
After breakfast we visit Golden grassland at the mountain front,then go to Stone City, the city walls of Shiling base is big, this is one of the thirty-six kingdoms location named puli in the western regions before 2000 years ago. After that we Travel to Kashgar to overnight.

Day 14

After breakfast, we will take you to the airport. You will fly to your sweet home via Urumqi. Xinjiang tour ends here.
