Highlights include Kashgar Old Town, Karakul Lake, the legendary Karakoram Highway (KKH), and the historic town of Tashkorgan.
Itinerary
Day 1: Pakistan to Tashkorgan via Khunjerab Pass
Highlights: Khunjerab Pass, Tashkorgan Arrival
Begin your journey by crossing into China via the Khunjerab Pass (4,800m), the highest paved international border in the world. Upon arrival, Chinese frontier officers will escort you to the Tashkorgan Immigration Office (125km from the border). Meet your guide, who will assist with the initial entry formalities. After receiving your entry stamp, park your vehicle at the Chinese customs parking lot (safe and secure). Note: Vehicle customs clearance requires two days. Today, you’ll complete the initial paperwork, and your guide will accompany you tomorrow to finalize the process. Overnight: Tashkorgan

Day 2: Complete Chinese Customs Clearance
Highlights: Customs Formalities, Tashkorgan Exploration
Return to the immigration office with your guide to complete the remaining customs clearance. Once approved, retrieve your vehicle from the customs parking lot. Spend the rest of the day exploring Tashkorgan, a historic Silk Road outpost. Overnight: Tashkorgan

Day 3: Tashkorgan to Kashgar – 300km (7 hours)
Highlights: Karakoram Highway, Karakul Lake, Muztagh Ata
Embark on an exhilarating drive along the Karakoram Highway (KKH), one of the world’s most scenic roads. Stop at Karakul Lake (3,600m), where the snow-capped Muztagh Ata (7,546m) reflects in its turquoise waters. Pass through Oytagh Valley, known for its vibrant red cliffs and dramatic landscapes. Arrive in Kashgar, a vibrant Silk Road hub. Overnight: Kashgar

Day 4: Free Day in Kashgar
Highlights: Kashgar Old Town, Local Bazaars
Enjoy a full day to explore Kashgar at your own pace. Must-See Attractions: Kashgar Old Town: Wander through narrow alleys lined with traditional Uyghur homes. Id Kah Mosque: The largest mosque in China, built in 1442. Sunday Bazaar: A bustling market offering everything from spices to handicrafts. Note: No driving required today – relax and immerse yourself in the local culture. Overnight: Kashgar

Day 5: Kashgar to Kyrgyzstan via Torugart/Irkeshtam Pass
Highlights: Border Crossing, Scenic Drive
Early morning self-drive from Kashgar to Kyrgyzstan via Torugart or Irkeshtam Pass. Your guide will accompany you to assist with exit formalities at the Chinese immigration office and checkpoints. Tour Concludes: Your overland adventure in China ends at the Kyrgyzstan border.

This is very flexible tour, you can also travel opposite direction along the same destinations, you can enter China from Kyrgyzstan via Torugart or Irkeshtam pass and exit from China to Pakistan via Khonjirap pass.
