Day 1: Arrival in Urumqi

Arrive at Urumqi International Airport, where your guide will transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant featuring Uyghur specialties like lamb kebabs, polo (pilaf), and naan bread. Free time to rest or explore the city center. Overnight: Urumqi

Day 2: Urumqi - Heavenly Lake (Tianchi) – 110km
Highlights: Heavenly Lake (Tianchi), Boghda Peak, Grand Bazaar
Drive 110km to Heavenly Lake (Tianchi), an alpine gem surrounded by snow-capped peaks and pine forests. Take a shuttle bus to the lake (700m walk or optional electric shuttle for 10 RMB). Boat ride on the lake with views of Boghda Peak (5,445m). Lunch at a lakeside restaurant. Return to Urumqi and explore the Grand Bazaar for crafts and souvenirs. Dinner at a local restaurant.
