Day 1: Arrival in Urumqi

Arrive at Urumqi International Airport, where your guide will transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant featuring Uyghur specialties like lamb kebabs, polo (pilaf), and naan bread. Free time to rest or explore the city center. Overnight: Urumqi

Drive 110km to Heavenly Lake (Tianchi), an alpine gem surrounded by snow-capped peaks and pine forests. Take a shuttle bus to the lake (700m walk or optional electric shuttle for 10 RMB).
