Day 1: Arrive in Urumqi
Highlights: Urumqi Grand Bazaar
After Arrival at Urumqi Airport. Transfer to your hotel for check-in and refresh. Then take you to Explore the Urumqi Grand Bazaar, a lively market filled with local crafts, spices, and street food. Try samsa (lamb pies) and shop for silk scarves. Overnight: UrumqiDay 2: Urumqi → Heavenly Lake (110km, 2 hrs)

Morning:Visit the Xinjiang Regional Museum to see the 3,800-year-old “Loulan Beauty” mummy and Silk Road artifacts, it is a Tarim Basin discovery, and Silk Road relics like Sogdian textiles, Then Drive to Heavenly Lake. Nestled in the Tianshan Mountains, this glacial lake offers boat rides with views of Bogda Peak (5,445m). Hike trails like the Fairy’s Footsteps for pine-scented vistas. Then Explore the Karez Well, A 2,000-year-old underground irrigation system, vital for Turpan’s vineyards. After drive to admire the Emin Minaret, a 44m-tall Islamic tower,with geometric patterns, built in 1777. Overnight: TurpanDay 8: Turpan → Urumqi (200 km, 3 hrs)

Morning, drive to Tuyuq Village, A 1,700-year-old Uyghur oasis with apricot groves. Hike to ancient Buddhist caves. Photo stop at the Flaming Mountains, known for fiery red cliffs. Then Explore Bezeklik Buddha Caves ,7th-century Buddhist grottoes with faded murals of celestial beings.
