Kashgar is the meeting point of South and North silk road in ancient times, from Kashgar caravans split to Kyrgyzstan or Pakistan and continue to all the way west till Rome, our tour start from Kyrgyzstan and enter China via Torugart pass near Naryn, after two days visiting of Kashgar area exit to Kyrgyzstan via Irkeshtam pass near Osh.
Itinerary
Day 1
Kyrgyzstan to Kashgar via Torugart pass
Early in the morning you start the tour from Naryn Kyrgyzstan and Travel to Kashgar China. You need to handle Kyrgyz site transportation by yourself or can tell us via email so that we will arrange it, after you arrive the Border, our Kashgar guide and driver will welcome you and take you to the Kashgar, the immigration office is 120km away from the border. Kashgar is the most western city of China, has a population of 4 million, mainly peopled by ethnic Uyghurs. You will have dinner in local restaurant and back to Hotel.

Day 2
Kashgar to karakul lake, 200km, 5hours
Today we are going to explore the Karakorum highway – the China Pakistan friendship road, and some fascinating sites along the road. In the morning, we travel from Kashgar to south west along the Karakorum highway(KKH) which is also the ancient silk road location to Pakistan, on the way we will stop at Opal village for buy some food to have picnic at the karakul lake, then we will also stop at Oytagh valley and White sand mountain to take photos. After arriving, at the Karakul lake you are free to walk around and ride horse, the lake is 3600m high above sea level and surrounded by the snowcapped Muztagh ata(7546m) and Kongur(7719m) mountains which makes it extremely beautiful.

Day 3
Kashgar city Tour
Today is the most important day of the tour, Start the tour by visiting the Apak hoja tomb, the chamber tomb was build 1640, it is a unique Uyghur architecture, inside 72 people buried from 5 generations of Whoja family. Then we drive 15km west to the Livestock market, there you can see variety of animals and trading still running in ancient ways. After lunch, we will visit Sunday Bazaar, it is largest ancient bazaar in China. After that we walk in to the Old town of Kashgar, there you can see people still living in their beautiful old hoses, although some are renovated but still keeping the old style. Along the streets of old city we will go to the Idkah mosque, the biggest Arabic style mosque in China, it was built in 1442 by the local ruler of kashgar. Estimated to 30 thousand people can pray at the same time. Then we walk around the mosque to explore the Handicrafts street, an old street with amazing hand made stuffs from exotic musical instruments to strictly utilitarian kitchen ware. Get back to hotel after dinner.

Day 4
Kashgar to Kyrgyzstan via Irkeshtam Pass.
Early in the morning we travel from Kashgar to Kyrgyzstan, the immigration office is 80km away from the city, After finish the border formalities we will continue to drive to border about 150km, you will say good bye to our guide and driver at the border, the driver from Kyrgyzstan will take you the nearest city Osh in Kyrgyzstan, you should contact the Kyrgyz side driver before or you can tell us we will arrange transportation via our partner in Kyrgyzstan. Good bye and see you next time, our Kyrgyzstan Kashgar silk road tour ends here.
