Guangxi
Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is located in South China, bordering Guangdong in the East, Beibu Gulf in the South and Hainan across the sea, Yunnan in the west, Hunan in the northeast, Guizhou in the northwest and Vietnam in the southwest. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, showing a northwest southeast tilt. By the end of 2018, Guangxi had a registered population of 56.59 million and a permanent population of 49.26 million. The landform is generally composed of six categories: mountain, hill, platform, plain, stone mountain and water surface. Guangxi has a subtropical monsoon climate, which spans the four major water systems of the Pearl River, the Yangtze River, the Red River and the coastal area. There are 12 ethnic groups living in Guangxi, among which Guangxi is the region with the largest population of Yao and Zhuang in China, accounting for 60% of the total population of Yao. The karst landforms in Guangxi are widely distributed, concentrated and distributed in southwest, northwest, middle and northeast of Guangxi, accounting for 37.8% of the total land area, with many types of development rare in the world. Tourists can visit the unique karst landform, exchange with local ethnic minorities, participate in recreational activities, and experience the local ethnic culture.
