Hami(kumul)
Hami City has been the throat of the Silk Road since ancient times. It is known as “the lapel of western regions, the arch of China” and “the gateway of Xinjiang”. It is adjacent to Jiuquan City in Gansu Province in the East, Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture in the south, Turpan city and Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture in the west, and Mongolia in the north. Tianshan Mountains lie across Hami, dividing the whole city into mountain south, mountain north. The forest, grassland, snow mountain and glacier in the north of the mountain are integrated. The Hami basin in the south of the mountain is an oasis on the alluvial plain. The unique landform across the north and south of the Tianshan mountain makes Hami known as the “miniature of Xinjiang”. Hami is a typical temperate continental arid climate, dry and rainy, sunny days, good atmospheric transparency, less cloud cover, abundant light resources. It is one of the areas with superior light resources in the country, abundant sunshine, and one of the areas with the most sunshine hours in the country. Hami used to be an important town of the ancient “Silk Road”, with a long history and culture. Its main natural landscapes include: Tianshan scenic spot, yaldang scenic spot, etc.
