Hotan
Hotan area is located in the southwest of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is located in the north foot of Karakoram mountain and south of Taklamakan desert. The southern part of Hotan borders Tibet and Kashmir, with a total area of 247800 square kilometers. Hotan is the most important city in the south section of the ancient Silk Road. Hotan area is a typical inland arid area, located in the hinterland of Eurasia. It has a dry and desert climate. It is an area rich in light energy resources in China. It is rich in mineral resources. It is famous for its abundant Hotan jade. It is a famous town of jade, silk, carpet and fruits. Hotan jade is famous all over the country. There was a jade road before the silk road. Hotan jade was transported to the mainland of China more than 2000 years ago and developed into a “Jade Road”. There are tourist attractions such as the site of Niya, ancient city of akspili, ancient city of Awati, ancient city of karadun, ancient city of andir, ancient castle of ASAR, etc. Hotan jade, adelais silk and Hotan carpet are three treasures of Hotan.
