Shanxi

Shaanxi, referred to as “Shaanxi” or “Qin”, is the provincial administrative region of the people’s Republic of China and the capital of Xi’an. It is located in the hinterland of China, the middle reaches of the Yellow River, the South and the Qinba mountain area across the Han River Basin, a tributary of the Yangtze River, and the upper reaches of the Jialing River. The terrain is high in the north and south, low in the middle, and composed of plateau, mountain, plain and basin. there are Xiyue Huashan Mountain in Huayin City, Taibai Mountain in Baoji Meixian County, HuaQingChi, Zhongnan mountain, Cuihua Mountain in Lishan of Lintong around Xi’an, Hukou waterfall of the Yellow River at the junction of Qin and Jin, etc.In addition, there are century heritages such as the Great Wall, the terracotta warriors of the first emperor of Qin, the big wild goose pagoda, the small wild goose pagoda, the Xingjiao Temple Pagoda, the Daming Palace, the Weiyang palace, the big Buddha Temple Grottoes in Binxian County, and the tomb of Zhang Qian.
