Aksu
Aksu city is located in the northwest edge of Taklimakan Desert and in the upstream of Tarim River. It is named after water, which means “white water” in Uyghur language, with a total area of 135500 square kilometers. It is the location of the thirty-six Treasury MA (ancient desert) and Wensu in the western region during the Qin and Han Dynasties. It is one of the important posthouses on the ancient Silk Road and the birthplace of Kushan culture and Dulan culture. It is the political, economic and cultural center of Aksu region. Aksu area is high in the north and low in the south, inclining from northwest to Southeast. The main scenic spots are dalongchi mountain lake, prairie, Yanshui Valley Yadan landform, tear spring, summer resort Jiuyan spring, strange spring and trees, Gobi Magic City Tianshan sacred Wood Park, international hunting ground Heiying mountain, tiger platform, etc.
