Bosten lake is the biggest inland fresh water lake in China, 55km from east to west and 25 km from north to south, covers about 1200square kilometers. In 2014, the Bosten lake scenic spot rated as national AAAAA natural scenic spot.The lake area is a typical temperate continental climate with abundant light, abundant heat and scarce rainfall. It belongs to the mountain subsidence lake.The general trend of terrain is high in the north and low in the south, and the terrain in the West and East is flat. Bosten Lake coastal scenic spot can be divided into four scenic spots, namely gold beach and silver beach, Dahekou and Luoxia Bay, ahongkou and Lianhua Lake, Yangshui station and Bailuzhou.The main water supply source is Kaidu River, which is also the source of Peacock River. The lake provides an ideal inhabitant for many birds, fishes and wild plants, mainly reeds. The lake not only supplies water to the surrounding cities like Korla, Yanji but also very important for the ecology of the area. The water source of the lake is except the seasonal rains, mainly the ice and snow on the top of the Tianshan mountains which melts in summer.The view around the lake is some like the ocean beaches, attracts thousands of tourists in summer days.
