The great wall of Han Dynasty is also called the outer Great Wall. In Anxi, there are 150 kilometers of the Great Wall, 70 beacons and 3 city barriers. It starts from the mushroom beach of Yumen in the East, along the south side of Ganxin highway, on the North Bank of Shule River, and stretches westward, connecting with the xijiandun in Dunhuang. The structure of the great wall of Dunhuang and Han Dynasty is not brick and stone, which is built on local materials according to local conditions. In the area of Dunhuang North Lake and West Lake, there are a large number of plants such as red willow, reed, Apocynum, poplar, etc. when building the Great Wall, the branches of these plants are used as the foundation, which are paved with soil, gravel, and reed. Along the Great Wall, there is a beacon tunnel every ten miles . There are more than 80 tunnels in Dunhuang, and Yumenguan West Lake area is the most complete preserved area.
