Namuco is the second largest lake in Tibet and the third largest salt water lake in China. The lake is 4718 meters above sea level and is approximately rectangular in shape. Namucuo is located on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, which is called the "roof of the world". It belongs to the "Qinghai Tibet Plateau Lake area" of China's five major lakes. In the South and east of Namuco, there are high Gangdise mountains and majestic Nianqing Tanggula mountains. In the north, there are hills of northern Tibet Plateau with small undulation. The whole area has formed a closed inner flow area. The lake basin is in the southwest northeast direction, wide in the West and narrow in the East. The north of the lake is plateau hills, with an altitude of about 5000-5500 meters. The terrain is relatively flat. The South and east of the lake are the valleys of Gangdise mountain and Nianqing Tanggula Mountain. Namucuo lake is the third most beautiful five lakes in China by the "beauty China" activity of China National Geographic, and it is also the national AAAA level tourism Scenic spots.
